Ensign Thomas R. Wiley, USNR, wrote to Helen G. Douglas requesting a copy of the history of American Negro servicemen in the war that she had inserted in the Congressional Record. He expressed a deep interest in the problems of the Negro and asked for any additional information she could provide.
