Support for the National Institute of Neurological Diseases and Multiple Sclerosis, 1952-02-02
Scope and Contents
Mrs. William Singletary Jr. of 31 Wendell Ave. in Pittsfield, Mass, is writing to Mr. Schwab expressing her interest and support for the newly formed National Institute of Neurological Diseases. She is particularly interested in advancements towards finding a cure for multiple sclerosis and blindness, as her sister is afflicted with the disease. She hopes that Congress will grant an appropriation of eight million dollars to support the Institute in 1952-1953. Mrs. Singletary requests that Mr. Schwab, as a member of the appropriations committee, give careful consideration to this important matter.
