The writer is thanking the recipient for passing Public Law 692 which established the national Institute of neurological Diseases and Blindness and appropriated $1,187,400. They are requesting that $8 million be allocated in the 1953 budget for the institute to address the needs of the 20 million people suffering from neurological and sensory disorders.
