Scope and Contents
Charles Rooney expresses his opposition to the proposed Derwin Dam on the north fork of the Solomon River in Phillips County, Kansas, which President Truman has recommended for a three million dollar appropriation. He requests to appear before a committee or subcommittee studying the project to present his views, but is informed by Congressman George B. Schwabe that it may not be possible at this time. Schwabe suggests Rooney contact his Congressman, Mr. Albert Cole, for further assistance.
