Supporting Federal Employee Compensation Legislation: Correspondence Between George B. Schwabe and A. W. Ridgway, 1951-02-19

Scope and Contents

The first letter is from George B. Schwabe, a member of Congress, responding to a letter from A. W. Ridgway regarding pending legislation related to compensation for retired federal employees. Schwabe expresses his willingness to consider the bills and provide support if they are fair and just. He also mentions that he is not on the committee the bills were referred to and has not yet had the opportunity to review all arguments for and against the legislation. The second letter from Ridgway requests information on the bills and expresses trust in Schwabe's judgment to support what is best for the people.
