Scope and Contents

The document consists of two letters. The first letter is from Miss Camille M. Gameau, the secretary of Representative George B. Schwabe, acknowledging receipt of a letter from Calvert C. Shouse regarding a motion to grant permanent appointments and advancements in rank for military personnel after the war. The second letter is from Calvert C.
