Concerning H.R. 4376: A Letter Exchange, 1945-12-07
Scope and Contents
Louis C. Becker writes to Representative George B. Schwabe inquiring about the status of bill HR 4376, which would allow servicemen to return to school after their service. Schwabe expresses frustration with the lack of action on the bill by the New Deal Congress. Becker's son is overseas and unable to attend college due to military service, and Becker is concerned about the impact on his education. Becker also expresses disappointment with the Democratic Party and labels them as the "WAR PARTY."
