Scope and Contents

Mr. Beaker Meeks Jr. wrote to Representative George B. Schwabe requesting his support for a bill to provide terminal leave for enlisted men. Schwabe responded expressing his personal interest in supporting the bill and mentioned that it had been referred to a committee but had not been acted on yet. Meeks urged Schwabe to do everything in his power to pass the bill, as it was important to Navy men. Schwabe assured Meeks of his interest in the servicemen and veterans.
