Supporting the Gurney Bill: A Letter from George B. Schwabe, M.C., 1946-06-13
Scope and Contents
Mr. Fred W. Steiner wrote a letter to Congressman George B. Schwabe urging support for the Gurney Bill, S.2303, which is under consideration by the Senate Committee on Military Affairs. Congressman Schwabe responds, stating that he will consider Steiner's views on the bill and will await arguments for and against its passage. He acknowledges that amendments may be necessary and assures Steiner that he will give the bill serious consideration. Steiner later sends a telegram recommending the Gurney Bill without amendments.
