Preinduction Examination for Students in May: Circular No. 434, 1946-04-19
Scope and Contents
This circular from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Selective Service Headquarters requests that high school and college students who have been postponed for induction in June be made available for induction in June or July. It asks for students who have not yet had a preinduction physical examination to be forwarded for one in May, with particular attention to college students who may start a new quarter or semester after their induction is completed. If local boards find that their preinduction call in May is not sufficient to cover all available men, including students, they should notify the State Director so that the call can be increased.
