Scope and Contents

A letter was sent to Representative George B. Schwabe requesting that the draft age be raised to 20 and asking for a picture of the ship USS F. C. DAVIS DE-136. The letter also expressed sympathy for the loss of their son in the war and requested assistance in obtaining a picture of the ship he was on. The parents believed that the draft age should be raised to 20 and expressed concern about sending younger men to war. They thanked Schwabe for his offer of assistance and hoped for the safe return of his four sons in service.
