Scope and Contents
Mrs. Rotramel wrote a letter to Representative George B. Schwabe asking for the return of 18-year-old boys from war and to stop drafting them. She also requested support for their education and training. In response, a secretary acknowledged receipt of the letter and provided information on President Truman's stance on the issue. The secretary also promised to bring Mrs. Rotramel's concerns to Mr. Schwabe's attention when he returned to Washington.
