Scope and Contents

Mr. Penrose of Local 457 International Association of Machinists in Tulsa, Oklahoma, sent a letter to Congressman George B. Schwabe requesting his support for legislation to improve the Railroad Retirement Act for the benefit of railroad employees. The letter outlines specific changes they are advocating for, such as eliminating age restrictions for pensions and providing a minimum monthly pension for machinists. Congressman Schwabe responds positively, stating he will be on the alert for these matters and hopes Mr. Penrose will be pleased with his vote.
