Support for O.P.A. Extension: A Letter to Congressman Schwabe, 1946-07-06
Scope and Contents
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph R. Brewer of Tulsa, Oklahoma wrote a letter to Congressman George B. Schwabe expressing their desire for O.P.A. to be re-enacted in its prior form. They believe that discontinuing O.P.A. will cause hardship and are in favor of stringent price controls. Congressman Schwabe responds by stating his opinion that O.P.A. has done more harm than good and is un-American. Schwabe believes that planned economy is not beneficial for the country's prosperity.
