Title: Debate Over O.P.A. Continuation: A Business Owner's Perspective, 1946-06-08

Scope and Contents

The author received a letter from Mr. Dick Kinmond expressing support for the continuation of the O.P.A. The author conducted a referendum in their district which showed that a majority of people were against the extension of the O.P.A. The author believes that the American people should express their views on controversial issues and appreciates receiving feedback. Mr. Kinmond, who is in the auto accessories business, believes that price controls should be in place until production reaches 1942 levels to prevent price rises. He urges the author to do all in their power to keep price controls in force.
