Scope and Contents

Mr. Winston Weathers writes to Congressman George B. Schwabe urging him to reconsider his stance on the extension of the Office of Price Administration (O.P.A.). Weathers believes that O.P.A. is necessary for stable economic conditions and is supported by the majority of voters. Congressman Schwabe responds, stating that he has received feedback from constituents both for and against O.P.A. He conducted a referendum in his district which showed majority opposition to O.P.A. Schwabe values the input of his constituents and believes that American people should express their views on controversial issues.
