Opposition to the Resurrection of the O.P.A.: A Letter Exchange, 1945-01-01 - 1946-12-31
Scope and Contents
The letter is from Mr. M.C. Roberts to Congressman George B. Schwabe expressing support for Schwabe's opposition to the O.P.A. (Office of Price Administration) and urging him to continue fighting against its revival. Schwabe had consistently opposed the O.P.A. and stated that he would vote to abolish it whenever possible. Roberts encourages Schwabe to resist the revival of the O.P.A. and to focus on preventing inflation through production rather than government control.
