The Debate Over O.P.A.: A Business Perspective, 1946-07-10
Scope and Contents
The sender, George B. Schwabe, expresses his disapproval of the O.P.A (Office of Price Administration) and believes it to be un-American. He criticizes those who support the O.P.A, stating that they have personal or selfish motives. He urges the recipient to influence their Representative in Congress to oppose the O.P.A. The recipient, American Body & Trailer Co., responds by stating their commitment to lowering prices and believing in the law of supply and demand and competition as the true American law of price control.
