Title: Correspondence on Post-OPA Price Controls, 1946-07-08
Scope and Contents
Congressman George Schwabe received a letter from the Ozark Chemical Company stating that they have not raised prices on their commodities since the expiration of price controls and do not plan to do so unless there are further increases in costs. They believe in allowing natural forces of supply and demand to regulate prices and are against returning to production restrictions imposed by the O.P.A. Congressman Schwabe agrees with this sentiment and believes in the integrity and patriotic instincts of business men and people in order to maintain a successful economic system.
