The letter is from George B. Schwabe, a member of the House of Representatives, expressing opposition to the O.P.A. (Office of Price Administration) and its practices. Claude L. Rogers, a recipient of the letter, agrees with Schwabe and believes that if the O.P.A. is extended, its activities should be restricted and subsidies should be eliminated. Rogers also questions the motives of Chester Bowles, the head of the O.P.A. The letter concludes with Rogers asking for Schwabe's cooperation in eliminating wartime restrictions.
