Opposition to the O.P.A.: A Congressional Stand, 1946-06-04
Scope and Contents
The letter is from George B. Schwabe, a member of the House of Representatives, to Mr. O.L. Gale expressing agreement with Gale's opposition to the O.P.A. (Office of Price Administration) and criticizing its practices. Schwabe states that he has consistently opposed the O.P.A. and voted against its extension, believing it to be detrimental to free enterprise in America. Gale is urged to continue supporting efforts to streamline and reduce the power of the O.P.A. and government bureaucracy.
