Scope and Contents
The letter is a response to Mrs. Lauer expressing opposition to the O.P.A. and bureaucracy in general. The author believes that government agencies like the O.P.A. are un-American and do not follow the will of Congress or the people. The author also believes that planned economy cannot work successfully under a system of free enterprise. Mrs. Lauer also expresses her opposition to O.P.A. and hopes for its elimination or restriction.
