Scope and Contents

Mrs. Marguerite M. Miller wrote a letter to Honorable George B. Schwabe expressing her opposition to the O.P.A. and other government bureaus, citing high operating costs for manufacturers and unemployment as reasons for her opposition. Schwabe responded, agreeing with her views and stating that the best way to handle the situation is to do away entirely with planned economy. He also mentioned receiving many similar letters opposing the O.P.A. and expressed his steadfast opposition to it.
