Scope and Contents

The first letter is from George B. Schwabe, a member of Congress, thanking W. W. Wolfe for his support in limiting the powers of the Office of Price Administration (OPA). Wolfe had written to his senators expressing his opposition to the OPA, citing examples of how it has led to price increases and black markets. Wolfe believes that the OPA should be abolished in order to allow the free market to function more effectively.
