Opposition to O.P.A. Extension: A Letter from George B. Schwabe, M.C., 1946-05-07
Scope and Contents
Mrs. Welch wrote to Representative Wickersham expressing her support for limiting O.P.A. supervision to rent control for one year. Representative Schwabe agrees with her views on the O.P.A., considering it to be a harmful federal bureau that undermines free enterprise. He has consistently opposed the O.P.A. in Congress and voted against its extension. Schwabe thanks Mrs. Welch for her input and support.
