The Fight Against O.P.A.: Correspondence Between Concerned Citizens, 1946-05-06

Scope and Contents

The letter from Mr. George B. Schwabe expresses his opposition to the O.P.A and its practices, stating that he has consistently voted against it and believes it is destroying legitimate free enterprise in America. In response, a letter from Joyner Wall expresses concern over the head of the O.P.A, Chester Bowles, and criticizes the bureau for not stabilizing prices and using unfair methods. Both letters show a strong opposition to the O.P.A and call for changes to its operations.
