Scope and Contents

George Schwabe, a congressman from Oklahoma, received a telegram from G.W. Thompson asking him to vote against an increase in mailing rates. Schwabe responded that he had already voted against one bill related to catalogues, and would also vote against bills to increase rates on books and newspapers. He hoped this aligned with Thompson's views.
