Support for Increased Pay for Postal Mail Carriers, 1945-04-24
Scope and Contents
Edward H. Chandler, an Attorney-at-Law, is writing to Honorable George B. Schwabe, a Member of Congress, in support of H.R. 2071 which provides for increased pay for postal mail carriers. He mentions that postal mail carriers have not received a pay increase since 1925 despite the increased cost of living and war conditions. Chandler and his family support the bill as they believe it is meritorious for mail carriers, but they do not have enough information about other provisions in the bill for government employees. He expresses his support for Schwabe and compliments him on his progress as a member of Congress.
