Call for Federal Employee Legislation: National Federation's Urgent Request, 1945-02-21
Scope and Contents
The Executive Council of the National Federation of Federal Employees is urging Congress to enact legislation that includes immediate base pay increases, true time and a half for overtime work, night differential compensation, revision of the Federal classification structure, overtime pay for holiday work, and reduction in time required for salary advancement. These measures are seen as essential for the efficiency and effectiveness of the Federal service both in the current war situation and for long-term development. The Council is seeking active support from Congress for these objectives.
