Scope and Contents

Schwabe expresses gratitude to Curtis for writing a letter to the Commissioner of Indian Affairs on his behalf. Curtis acknowledges receiving a letter regarding a bill relating to Peyote and explains that he has put the bill on hold after hearing testimony from a group of Indians from Oklahoma who opposed it. Curtis provides a list of the individuals who appeared before him and assures the Commissioner that their purpose for coming to Washington was realized.
