Urgent Request for Consideration of Patent Bills, 1946-04-05
Scope and Contents
Samuel C. Miller wrote a series of letters to Honorable George B. Schwabe and the Committee on Patents regarding bills HR 1190 and HR 1191 introduced by Representative O'Hara to extend certain patents for individuals who served in the Armed Forces. Miller expressed the importance of these bills to him and his associates who were unable to benefit from their patents due to their military service. He urged immediate consideration of the bills to prevent infringement on their patents when they expire. Schwabe's secretary informed Miller that Schwabe was no longer on the Committee on Patents and would not be able to consider the matter.
