Support for Old Age Pension Bill: A Letter to Congressman George B. Schwabe, 1945-01-24

Scope and Contents

The letter is a response from Congressman George B. Schwabe to Mr. W. N. Lawrence regarding an old age pension bill introduced by Mr. O. J. Fox. Schwabe expresses his support for old age pension benefits for citizens over the age of sixty or sixty-five without requiring them to sign pauper affidavits or have case workers involved. He also mentions that he is not on the Committee on Ways and Means but is willing to help in any way he can. Lawrence asks for Schwabe's support for the pension bill in his letter.
