Scope and Contents
Mrs. Carrie Guess Dougten received a letter from Congressman Carl Albert regarding payments due to the Choctaws and Chickasaws for coal lands sold to the government. Enrolled members will be paid within the next sixty days, and claims of deceased members will be settled afterwards. Proof of heirship notices will be sent out to determine legal heirs and amounts. Mrs. Dougten asked for help for her sick mother, Journette Harrison, to receive her payment.
