Scope and Contents

The letter is from a friend of J. Bledsoe recommending Mr. John Spaan for a position in the Public Health Service's Division of Indian Health. Despite recommendations from various sources, Mr. Spaan did not receive the position, leading to disappointment and frustration from the sender. The sender expresses skepticism towards Representative Carl Albert for not following through on promises to help the Native American community.
