Scope and Contents

The document is a series of letters between the Sac and Fox Tribe of Oklahoma and various government officials regarding the distribution of funds appropriated to pay judgments in favor of the tribe. The tribe is requesting to be informed of any developments in the case and to be able to personally plead their case at a hearing regarding the division of funds between the two groups of Sac and Fox Indians residing in Oklahoma and Iowa. Congressman Carl Albert assures the tribe that they will be notified when a hearing date is set.
