The letter is in response to a petition opposing the extension of leasing time for Choctaw and Chickasaw lands. The Assistant Secretary of the Interior plans to have a conference with tribal representatives to reach an agreement on the purchase price of the lands, and the congressman assures that he will resist any delay in the matter.
