Correspondence between Congressman Carl Albert and Robert Alexander, Business Manager of the Inter-Tribal Council, Inc., over the reinstatement of the Modoc, Wyandotte, Peoria, and Ottawa Tribes of Oklahoma. Enclosed in Alexander's letter are copies of letters from both state and federal legislative leaders, chiefs of the affected tribes, chiefs of other tribes, the president of the Inter-Tribal Council of the Five Civilized Tribes, local leaders such as the Mayor of Miami, Oklahoma and county commissioners, tribe members, and the acting area director of the Muskogee Area Office of the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
