Scope and Contents

The document contains a news release from the Department of the Interior announcing that the Bureau of Indian Affairs published a calendar of Native American celebrations, ceremonials, fairs, and other special events open to the public in 1976. Attached to the release are three notes: one from SS saying to copy the release to the Five Chiefs, one from Congressman Carl Albert saying he thought the recipient would be interested in the release, and a note saying to send the release to a tribal leader and to ask for a review copy.
