Scope and Contents

Johnny Shoup, a high school student from Williams, Oklahoma, wrote to Congressman Carl Albert in 1951 requesting information about the geological formations in LeFlore County. The letter was forwarded to the Director of Geological Survey, who responded with information about the origin of natural features in the county and provided topographic maps and publications.
