Scope and Contents

Mrs. Francis H. Means wrote a letter to Congressman Camp expressing her concerns about the Chilocco Indian School. The Congressman's administrative assistant, Joan Southard, assured Mrs. Means that no concessions had been made to any group regarding the school. Southard also mentioned that Congressman Camp is interested in the school and will ensure that decisions made will be beneficial. Mrs. Means also expressed her concerns to President Nixon about the BIA's handling of the Indian boarding school situation.
