Letter to Congress Regarding Communication Failure with Tribal Council, 1950-01-01 - 1959-12-31
Scope and Contents
The author of the letter is upset with Mr. Bruce and his subordinates at the Bureau of Indian Affairs for failing to communicate with their Tribal Council. They feel that the Tribal Council, elected to represent their interests, is being ignored and that decisions affecting their lives are doomed for failure. The author recommends giving the Indian people more input in decisions and a say in selecting their leaders.
