1965 Correspondence Regarding Poverty Program Impact on American Indians, 1965-01-27

Miss Rebecca Putnam wrote to Congressman Page Belcher requesting information on how the Administration's Poverty Program will affect American Indians. Belcher responded by stating that he is looking into the matter and will provide information as soon as possible. He also forwarded Putnam's request to the Bureau of Indian Affairs for further consideration. Putnam had also reached out to the Office of Economic Opportunity and Commissioner of the Bureau of Indian Affairs for information on the same topic.
