The Principal Chief of the Choctaw Nation is requesting assistance from the Oklahoma Congressional Delegation in regards to the appointment of the Chief of the Nation. They are asking for a meeting with the Secretary of the Interior, continued involvement in the selection process, and for an extension of the current term to allow for a referendum election or nominating convention.
