Scope and Contents
Mrs. Beckwith sent a postal card to Mr. Belcher regarding federal government expenditures for public and private school construction. The assistant secretary, Mrs. Eva Smith, responded, stating that Mr. Belcher is out of the city but will consider the legislation upon his return. Mrs. Beckwith also expressed support for a bill for private school construction and requested $500,000,000 for public and private schools.
