Correspondence Regarding Federal Aid for Red Rock School's Education of Indian Children, 1954-01-01 - 1955-12-31

Scope and Contents

The letter from the Bureau of Indian Affairs to Page Belcher, M. C. discusses the financial assistance provided to public school districts enrolling Indian children in Oklahoma. The Red Rock School does not qualify for assistance under the Johnson-O*Malley funds due to raising more than $37 per capita in local initiative. The Bureau of Indian Affairs will investigate further and provide more information once they hear back from the State Department of Public Instruction.
