Correspondence Regarding Employment Status at Pawnee Indian School in 1953, 1951-01-01 - 1953-12-31
Scope and Contents
Mrs. Stacy Howell, a Dormitory Attendant at Pawnee Indian School, wrote to Hon. Page Belcher seeking help in obtaining a permanent appointment. Belcher contacted the Department of Interior, who confirmed that Mrs. Howell is under an indefinite appointment and there is no immediate proposal for her separation. Her husband had previously resigned from a position at the school due to not meeting qualification standards but had since been appointed elsewhere. The Department of Interior requested further information from the Anadarko Area Office and promised to provide an update to Belcher. Belcher assured Mrs. Howell that he would look into the matter and provide her with any information as soon as possible.
