Mrs. Nicey Evans Coonhead wrote to Page Belcher, expressing hope that Congress would appropriate money for Loyal Creek and Equalization payments. Belcher responded, indicating that he is sympathetic to the Creek people's claims and will do his best to support them in Congress. Mrs. Coonhead further urged Belcher to act quickly and get the money for the payments, as she believes the Indian tribes have waited long enough.
