Scope and Contents

This resolution declares Congress's intention to grant full citizenship rights to Native American tribes and individuals in certain states, and to remove them from federal supervision and control. It also calls for the Secretary of the Interior to review existing legislation and treaties and make recommendations for further legislation by January 1, 1954.
