Scope and Contents
The Housing Assistance Council (HAC) is a federally funded organization that provides technical housing services, seed money loans, and policy assistance for rural housing development. They offer specialized technical services to public and nonprofit agencies to increase rural housing expertise. HAC also manages a revolving loan fund for developers to build or rehabilitate housing for rural low-income families. Loans are provided for predevelopment costs and technical assistance is offered throughout the project. The organization has made loan commitments to housing development organizations across the United States.
