Invitation to National Indian Housing Conference, 1974-03-22
Scope and Contents
The National Council on Indian Opportunity is hosting a National Indian Housing Conference in Washington, D.C. on April 9-10, 1974. The conference will address concerns related to Federal Indian housing efforts, production of housing units, administration of the housing program, and proposed legislation. Representatives from various government agencies will be present to discuss these issues. Tribal Chairmen and Indian Housing Authorities are invited to attend and are asked to prepare written papers outlining specific problems and solutions. The Council does not have funds available for travel expenses. The conference aims to provide suggestions for improved legislation and better delivery of services from the Federal Government.
